What We Know So Far About the All-New 2025 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban

For decades, the Chevy Tahoe and the Chevy Suburban have been some of the most popular full-size SUVs on the market. When drivers need seating for eight passengers, configurable interiors, loads of cargo space, excellent performance, and tons of convenience features, they regularly look for these two tremendous models. As a Chevy dealer near LaGrangeville, we know that everyone has been buzzing about the Tahoe and Suburban, redesigned for the 2025 model year.
The all-new models have not been officially released, but based on some published information and images made available by Chevy, we have deduced a few highlights we’re excited to share with you. We can say with absolute certainty that drivers can look forward to some very exciting changes this year. Here are some of the most note-worthy updates we know of so far for the 2025 Chevy Tahoe and Chevy Suburban.
New, Tech-Forward Interiors With a VIP Look and Feel
The interiors of these vehicles have been redesigned to be technology superstars. Based on images released by Chevy, the available Rear Seat Infotainment System remains a standout option on the Chevy Tahoe and Suburban, featuring two massive digital monitors located behind the front-seat headrests, perfect for times when little ones are getting rowdy in the backseat after a day at school. If you need to run a few errands and keep your kiddos content, they can stream shows and play games on the systems. Of course, the kids aren’t the only ones that are enjoying updated technology.
Chevrolet has been very vocal about its new and best-in-class 17.7-inch diagonal infotainment screen, which will be paired with the 11-inch driver information center. To give you a frame of reference, that infotainment screen is larger than most laptops and the largest amongst any of Chevy’s full-size SUV competitors. With enough functionality and high-definition polish comparable to a desktop computer stored in your dashboard, you will love this massive touchscreen. Chevy has also designed it slightly slanted towards the driver for an immersive experience that keeps you focused.
With the new model year also comes a redesigned center console with new storage options and a repositioned wireless charging pad. Chevrolet states that the new charging pad position is more convenient, so you should be able to easily power up your devices in a way that helps you seamlessly use the rest of the area. We are excited to see what this new center console has in store. It’s always nice to have those small cubbies by the driver’s seat for stashing little snacks from Hitsman Farmstand or road trip essentials like tissues, maps, and sunscreen.
Luxury Just Got Even More Luxurious
Chevrolet has also announced that the luxury trim, the High Country, will return to the Chevy Suburban and Tahoe with more refined interior style details. One of these will include authentic wood decor, as well as wing tipped perforated leather seating surfaces. We have also been informed of a unique steering wheel design for the High Country but have yet to receive more details on that. Overall, Chevy has been buzzing about the enhanced sophistication that you will find across the trim lineup. Drivers will find more black and Galvano chrome accents, soft-touch surfaces, and more wrapped materials on select trims. From what we gather, Chevy is working hard to make the Tahoe and Suburban not just feel like family vehicles but also feel like luxury choices for busy adults.

Connected Cameras That Help You Protect Your SUV
If you are concerned with the safety of your vehicle, you might like to know about the new Connected Cameras system Chevy is introducing to the Tahoe and Suburban. This is an integrated network of cameras that allow drivers to remotely monitor the inside and outside of their vehicle from their smartphone, wherever they are, through the myChevrolet mobile app. Additionally, these cameras are designed to detect potential break-ins, record theft, or record collisions at the moment of impact, making them invaluable assets in a crash. Avoid a he-said-she-said mess and present hard evidence to your insurance company of what happened in the incident with this footage.
The Off-Road Z71 Trim Just Got More Off-Road-Ready
If you’ve been curious about the Z71, the off-road trim, know that the 2025 Tahoe and Suburban gets new skid plates and a high approach front facia, making it more ready than ever to tackle rough roads and bumpy terrain around Dutchess County. The Z71 has also been a popular off-road trim in other Chevy vehicles, including the Silverado and the Chevy Colorado. With the Suburban and Tahoe Z71, drivers who need everyday convenience and comfort but want the power to go off routing on weekends can have it all.
A New Engine That Takes Power to the Next Level
Chevy is delivering a new engine to the Tahoe and Suburban that has everyone talking. It is the second generation 3.0-liter inline-six turbo diesel Duramax. It offers tremendous power with solid fuel economy, offering drivers the best of both worlds for adventures and practical everyday scenarios. It will be paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and available on every trim. This engine kicks out 305 hp and 495 lb-ft of torque, a 10% and 7.6% increase, respectively, compared to the previous diesel engine’s output of 277 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque.

Eye-Catching Exterior Style Details That Make a Splash
From the outside, you will also notice some style changes to the 2025 Tahoe and Suburban. First of all, Chevy has been bragging about the new lighting features that will display fun, welcoming light sequences as you approach the vehicle and as you walk away, featured prominently on the Premier and High Country trims. With the new model year comes two new dazzling exterior colors: Cypress Gray and Lakeshore Blue Metallic. Plus, with the newly available 24-inch wheels, you can really make a statement in your Suburban or Tahoe. All in all, Chevy says the new exterior design details are inspired by changes to Chevy’s truck lineup.
