Celebrating 10 Years of Ruge’s Chevrolet in Millbrook!

This year marks a milestone we’re proud of: 10 years of Ruge’s Chevrolet serving Millbrook and the Hudson Valley.

In 2016, the Ruge’s family purchased Audia Motor Sales on Route 44 and Ruge’s Chevrolet was born! It was a new name on the building, but not a new way of doing business. The Ruge’s family has been selling and servicing vehicles in the Hudson Valley since 1935, when Joseph Ruge opened a one-pump fueling station in Rhinebeck across from the Beekman Arms and became an authorized dealer later that same year. Ten years in Millbrook is the newest chapter in a story that spans more than nine decades and four generations of drivers.

A Decade of Trucks, SUVs, and Neighbors

A lot has changed in ten years. Silverados got stronger. The Blazer and Trailblazer came back. Electric Chevys went from concept to driveway. Through all of it, the thing that hasn’t changed is why people keep coming back for sales and service.

Our customers tell us the same thing again and again: no pressure, straight answers, and a service department that treats your vehicle like it matters. That reputation isn’t something we inherited. It’s something our sales, service, and parts teams have earned one customer at a time, and it’s the reason so many families are now on their second, third, or fifth vehicle from Ruge’s Chevrolet.

More Than a Dealership

Being part of this community for ten years means more than selling cars in the Hudson Valley. Some of our favorite moments every year happen outside the showroom.

Each holiday season, the Parade of Lights is a highlight for our whole team. Decorating vehicles, rolling through town, and seeing families lined up along the route reminds us exactly why we love doing business here. If you’ve waved at us from the sidewalk, you’re part of the tradition.

We’re also proud supporters of the Town of Washington Rec, and other youth sports in the area. Along with Angels of Light, a Millbrook based nonprofit that assists Hudson Valley children and families facing life threatening illnesses or sudden hardship. Their work, from holiday gift deliveries to supporting pediatric care in our region, represents the very best of this community, and contributing to that mission is one of the things we’re most proud of from our first decade.

Whether it’s a parade float, a fundraiser, a local team, or a school event, showing up for our neighbors has always been part of how the Ruge’s family does business. That started in 1935 and it’s not changing now.

An anniversary like this one belongs to the community as much as it belongs to us.
