Explained Kristin Ruge Hutchins, President and CEO of Ruge’s: “The New York State Department of Labor is projecting a 5% increase in the demand for automotive technicians through 2026. Coupled with the pledge that New York has made to increase electric vehicle use (with plans to reach two million electric vehicles on the roads by 2030), now is a perfect time to explore career opportunities that exist in our field.”
Added Joanne Holmes, Service Manager at Ruge’s, ‘Whether you’ve always been a car enthusiast or you are ready for a change, becoming an automotive technician is a great way to go! There are many training programs to choose from, and through our Ruge Family Scholarship Fund and GM, there are funds available to offset training expenses. And we are more than happy to help eligible prospective Ruge’s technicians apply for these scholarships.”
Kristin continued: “We are excited to do all we can to help people prepare for these roles – and to welcome them to our team here at Ruge’s.”
Employees of Ruge’s enjoy much more than working on the cutting edge of technology. Compensation and benefits packages are extremely generous and competitive, and our company is deeply committed to the well-being, success, and quality of life for our team.
Noted Kristin: “We believe that when people can enjoy a positive, collaborative workplace environment, they will be healthier and happier. That said, we prioritize well-being for everyone – not just through solid health insurance plans, 401k, and other benefits, but by cultivating connection and ensuring that every person feels valued – every single day.”
Building an automotive career with an award-winning industry leader in one of the most beautiful parts of the country also gives you a chance to get to know your community. Ruge’s has long been involved with many community events and charitable causes. From Little League and parade sponsorships to our ongoing support of cultural experiences and school scholarships, we pay it forward constantly, making our employees (and customers) very proud to represent our brand.
